Founder & Security Advisor

MEngMScCISSPCRISC

I’m a security executive with more than 15 years of experience across financial services, insurance, utilities, retail, and lotteries and gaming. I have advised CIOs and CISOs as a consultant and led the teams responsible for putting security strategy into practice. That combination shapes my approach: clear priorities, practical recommendations, and a realistic understanding of what it takes to deliver them.

My experience includes leading an international security function in a regulated environment, with board-level reporting. It spans application, cloud and corporate security, security architecture, and governance, risk and compliance, including security governance for AI assistants and agentic tools.

Through Strativault, I bring this experience directly to businesses that need executive security leadership, helping them turn complex risks into clear decisions and practical action.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before we talk.

When does a fractional CISO make sense?

When you need senior security ownership and direction but a full-time CISO is not the right fit yet. It can also help during a period of growth, a leadership transition, or a focused change in your security program.

Can we start with a specific project?

Yes. An engagement can begin with a security assessment, a roadmap, compliance readiness, or a review of a particular concern. Scope, deliverables, and ways of working are agreed before work begins.

Do you work with US and European companies?

Yes. Strativault Security Advisory LLC is registered in the United States, with remote advisory delivered from Europe. Working hours and collaboration arrangements are agreed to fit your team.

Does readiness support include certification?

Readiness support helps you identify gaps, strengthen controls, and prepare evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and GDPR-related security requirements. ISO certification and SOC 2 examinations are performed by independent certification bodies and audit firms; PCI DSS validation follows the assessment route applicable to your business. GDPR support focuses on security measures and accountability, working alongside your legal or privacy advisors.
